NWPC Honors Dixie Taylor-Huff at 8th Annual
Spring Revue March 17
The Nashville Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) will hold its 8th Annual Spring Revue honoring past NWPC president Dixie Taylor-Huff on March 17, at the Doubletree Hotel, 315 Fourth Ave. North, in downtown Nashville.
Ms. Huff is a member on the Board of Directors and the Government Relations Committee for the Tennessee Health Care Association (THCA), where she served as president, in 1985-1986; Nashville District President in 1980; and as chairman of THCA’s Political Action Committee.
She currently serves on the Survey/Regulatory Committee and the Political Action Committee for the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and has been active in several capacities: serving on the Independent Owner Committee; chairman for the AHCA PAC Committee; a member on the Governing Council; and Region XII Vice President. She holds the AHCA’s Presidential Citation Award for Leadership.
Ms. Huff has served on the Governmental Special Task Force to write new and/or additional licensing regulations for all health care providers. She served on the Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities and the Health Facility Commission under two governors. She received a Certificate of Recognition from the Tennessee’s Commission on Aging for outstanding service to the elderly.
A member of the Board of Trustees for Cumberland University and Volunteer State Community College, she also serves on the Advisory Board for the Tennessee Technology Center in Hartsville.
Ms. Huff served as the 2004 treasurer of the Tennessee Democratic Party.
She is owner and administrator of Quality Care Health Center, in Lebanon, Tenn.; and is also owner of Gallatin Health Care Center, LLC; Digitar Management Services Inc.; Trousdale Senior Living Center; and Richland Place Senior Living Center. She provides home- and community-based services through the option and waiver program for both the Greater Nashville and Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging.
