Judge Betty Adams Green is Featured Speaker at
May NWPC Luncheon
The Nashville Women's Political Caucus (NWPC) has scheduled its next luncheon, on May 29, with Judge Betty Adams Green, speaking on "Juvenile Crime—Why Should I Be Concerned?"
Judge Green, Davidson County Juvenile Court Judge since her election in 1998, is an expert in the juvenile court system. A former Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Youth Development, she has held positions including Assistant District Attorney for the Metropolitan-Davidson County, and Executive Director for the Tennessee Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
She has served as Adjunct Faculty for the Criminal Justice Department at Middle Tennessee State University, the Director of Field Operations and Field and Research Consultant for the Tennessee Children’s Services Commission, and Academic Instructor for the Highland Rim School for Girls in Tullahoma.
Judge Green’s leadership and community activities include being President of the American Correctional Association, Vice President and founding member of the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators, and Vice President of the American Correctional Association.
The Nashville Women’s Political Caucus is a multi-partisan, multi-ethnic organization that promotes full and equal participation of women in government and in the political process, encouraging women to seek public office, whether elected or appointed. The NWPC supports measures that will open economic and political opportunities for women. Membership is open to all interested individuals in the Middle Tennessee area.
